AutoFill is a feature in Excel that populates a series of cells with information. For example, if you want to repeat certain cells, select them, and move the mouse pointer to the bottom-right corner of the selected cells. When the mouse pointer changes to a cross, click-and-drag down as far as needed.

The AutoFill (or fill) handle looks like this + and appears only when you position the mouse on the lower-right corner of the active cell (or the last cell, when you've selected a block of cells).
