Go to Manage how you sign in to Microsoft and sign in to your account. Select either Add email or Add phone number and we'll take you through the process of verifying your contact details and adding it to your account. You can make the new email or phone number the primary alias by selecting Make primary.

In the left navigation, click Users. Click the user name from the list of available users. Next to Audio Conferencing, click Edit. Use the Toll number or Toll-free number fields to enter the numbers for the user.

Those with Microsoft 365 Enterprise licensing with level E1 or E3 will need to purchase a Teams Phone license. Those that hold E5 already have Teams Phone licensing included. For Microsoft Business 365 it is possible to contact Microsoft to purchase Microsoft Business Voice without a call plan.

Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center. Go to Billing > Purchase services > Add-ons. Scroll to find the Microsoft Teams Phone Resource Account license.

Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center and assign the Audio Conferencing add-on to the necessary users to assign PSTN conferencing licenses to users.

Calling in Microsoft Teams To use Microsoft Teams as a business phone system additional licensing is needed. For Microsoft 365 Business Microsoft provides three licenses as a bundle, called Microsoft Business Voice, this provides an add-on license for Microsoft Teams Phone, Audio Conferencing, and a calling plan.
