Purchase Order Delete Circle For Free

There are some documents in SAP which you can delete, but purchase orders are not one of them. Once the items are canceled, then you have the option of archiving the purchase order so that it is no longer in the EKKO/EKPO tables on the database.

To completely delete a PO in SAP, you need to archive the document. You need to use the (Tcode) SARA with archiving object MM_EKKO to archive the PO document. In customizing set deletion program as automatic, a logical file name, file size, production mode variant as a PRODUCTIVE and content repository.

Go to Purchase Requests and Orders, then choose Purchase Orders. Select the purchase order where you want to cancel an item and click Edit. Go to the Items tab. Select the item that you want to cancel and click Cancel Item.

System will allow you to hold Purchase Document after enter some required data ie. Document type, Vendor, Purchase Org. Any of these must be entered other wise system will throw a message No data change. To Delete these Purchase Document, Enter One Line item which contains any material.

The PO can be canceled while in the Open status, Pending approval status, Approved status, Rejected status, and the Ordered status. Once the PO is either partially or fully received the PO cannot be canceled. The canceled PO can be viewed by clicking on the Canceled Button on the Flow diagram.
