In this article Sign in to windows365.microsoft.com with a Microsoft Entra Global Administrator account. Select Your organization's Cloud PCs > Add a user. Choose Select products to see all available licenses that can be assigned to the user. Select the licenses that you want to assign to the user > Update.

In the admin center, go to the Users > Active users page. Select the row of the user that you want to assign a license to. In the right pane, select Licenses and Apps. Expand the Licenses section, select the boxes for the licenses that you want to assign, then select Save changes.

You can remove Office 365 licenses from users and either assign them to another user or have them deleted from your subscription. When you remove the license, all that user's data is held for 30 days. You can access the data, or restore the account if the user comes back.

In the admin center, go to the Billing > Licenses page. Select a product. On the product details page, select Assign licenses. In the Assign licenses to users pane, begin typing a name, and then choose it from the results to add it to the list.

Exchange Online is licensed via a subscription model in which each user needs a User Subscription License (USL). Three types of subscriptions are available: Exchange Online Kiosk, Exchange Online Plan 1, and Exchange Online Plan 2.

Go Office 365 Admin Center > Active Users > choose unlicensed > select the specific shared mailbox to give it a license.

Go to the Exchange Admin center > Recipients > shared > Click on Edit > mailbox features > choose a retention policy and then enable litigation hold. Go Office 365 Admin Center > Active Users > choose unlicensed > select the specific shared mailbox to give it a license.
