Use. You need to create a settlement rule to settle the actual costs of a sender object. The settlement rule contains the distribution rules for the sender. For some sender objects, the system creates the settlement rule automatically.

Settling a maintenance order means that all the actual costs incurred during order confirmation are sent to a settlement receiver. This settlement receiver is generally the cost center of the reference object (displayed in the header data). It can also be a specifically designated general ledger account.

The settlement rule includes a distribution rule for the sales order item.The settlement receiver (such as profitability segment or G/L account) specifies the object to which the actual costs and revenue of the sales order item are settled. The settlement receiver can be proposed through the settlement profile.
