Modify Checkbox Group Document For Free - Group Document

Position the cursor where you want the first control. (You can't enter multiple controls.) Click the Developer tab. Click the Checkbox content control in the Controls group.

Put the cursor at the place you will insert the checkbox symbol, and click Insert > Symbol > More Symbols. In the opening Symbol dialog box, please (1) choose Wingdings 2 from Font draw down list; (2) select one of specified checkbox symbols you will add; (3) click the Insert button.

Method 1: On the Word Ribbon menu, under the tab Developer, within the group Controls, click the Legacy Tools icon. From drop-down list, under the section Legacy Forms, click the Check Box Form Field icon. Word inserts a shaded check box. Click the Form Field Shading icon to remove shading around the checkbox.

Edit the properties of the checkbox control, as necessary. Click the checkbox. Click the "Developer" tab and select the "Properties" option, which will launch a separate window. Use the available options to edit the properties, such as the size, and click the "OK" button.

If the developer tab isn't already visible, see Show the Developer tab. In your document, click the check box. On the Developer tab, click Properties. In the Content Control Properties dialog box, selectChange next to Checked symbol. In the Symbol box, look for a symbol. Repeat the same steps for each check box.

Removing Boxes If you want to remove multiple check boxes, highlight all of the lines you want to change. Click on the arrow on the right side of the Bullets button. From the next window, select the None option in the Bullet Library section.

Under Layout > Layout Options tab, make sure the option to Use Default Browser Icons for Radio Buttons and Checkboxes is unchecked. This will apply to all questions that use either a radio button or a checkbox icon.
