Law school admission officers look beyond your GPA to carefully scrutinize your undergraduate transcripts. One or two withdrawals typically do not present much of an issue. However, a pattern of withdrawals will cause law schools to question your academic preparedness and ability to manage a demanding academic load.

However, if the applicant wants to enroll in a J.D. program that ranks among the top 25 in the 2019 U.S. News Best Law Schools rankings, the target should be a score of 160 or better, and if an applicant hopes to get into a top-10 program, he or she should aim for an LSAT score of 170 or more, experts suggest.

A 143 is below average (the average LSAT score being 150). Bringing that up to a 179, just one point shy of a perfect LSAT score of 180, is certainly impressive! However, a score of 179 alone is not enough to ensure admission to Harvard Law School.

Letters sent to LSAC remain the property of LSAC and will remain active for the life of your file. Letters will be neither returned to nor copied for you, the candidate.

You have six calendar days from the day you took the LSAT to let LSAC know if you want to cancel your score.

After the Test Date Change and LSAT Registration Refund deadlines have passed, you will be able to withdraw your LSAT registration on the LSAT Status page of your LSAC.org account.If you withdraw your LSAT registration during this period, you will not receive any refund.

It is not, however, a reason to cancel your LSAT score. If you seriously studied and committed to preparing for the exam in the months leading up to it, then you should be in a good position to keep the score. Even if you didn't get a 180, it's likely that this score reflects your aptitude and abilities.
