On Android: Tap the Phone app. Tap on the three lines in the upper corner (next to the search bar) to open the menu, and then select Settings. Choose Calls > Additional Settings > Caller ID. Choose Hide Number from the menu that pops up.

Full Attestation (A) - The identity of the caller is known, and they have the right to use the Caller ID for this call. Partial Attestation (B) - The originator knows the identity of the caller, but cannot confirm their right to use the Caller ID.

Gateway Attestation (C) ? The service provider has authenticated from where it received the call, but cannot authenticate the call source. An example of this case would be a call received from an international gateway.

Essentially, the attestation levels are designed to protect the integrity of the telecom networks and provide a way to signal confidence levels to other carriers that the calls can be trusted, and at what level.

If a call is assigned full attestation, it means: The carrier is responsible for originating the call. The carrier has a pre-existing direct relationship with the customer who is making the call and can authenticate and identify this caller. The carrier can verify an association with the number used to make the call.

Again, Full Attestation, or an A rating, means that carriers: Are responsible for originating calls. Have pre-existing relationships with the caller and can identify and authenticate the caller. Can verify the association between the caller and the number dialed from.

Attestation levels B-level attestation: The service provider has authenticated the call origination but cannot verify that the caller is authorized to use the calling number. C-level attestation: The service provider has originated the call on the network but cannot authenticate the call source.
