A certificate of degree or diploma are documents issued by an educational institution, such as a university, testifying the recipient has earned a degree or has successfully completed a particular course of study.

An advanced Regents diploma lets students show additional skills in math, science, and languages other than English. Only some students who meet specific criteria can graduate with a local diploma, with lower exam scores. To earn a diploma, students must earn specific course credits and pass specific Regents exams.

The Local diploma is available to students with disabilities who pass ?4+1? exams using the ?Safety Net? score requirements or who qualify for a ?Superintendent Determination.?

There is no action required on your part to keep your UTMail content or access to your mailbox when you leave the university. Access to your mailbox and services will be revoked when you graduate or become a former student. At that point, you will have read only access to Office documents you create.

All New York State students have access to the local diploma, the Regents diploma, and the Regents diploma with advanced designation. Any diploma type requires the successful completion of the appropriate 22 units of credits.
