Make a sticky note by tapping and holding the Home screen and selecting Widgets > Quick Note and the app will quickly walk you through making a note. Customize your note by picking a color, size and font size.

Your list of sticky notes might have disappeared because the app was closed while a single note remained open. When the app is opened again, you'll see only the single note.If only a single note is displayed when you open the app, click or tap the ellipsis icon ( 2026 ) in the upper-right of the note.

With the Startup folder open, open the Start Menu (or the Start screen) and find the shortcut for Sticky Notes.Sticky Notes will now stay when you shut down Windows.

A Post-it Note (or sticky note) is a small piece of paper with a re-adherable strip of glue on its back, made for temporarily attaching notes to documents and other surfaces. A low-tack pressure-sensitive adhesive allows the notes to be easily attached, removed and even re-posted elsewhere without leaving residue.

Faster way to making a note stay on top is to use the shortcut key Ctrl+Q from the sticky note.

Press and hold on an empty part of the screen to enter the home screen editing mode. Next, tap the + button in the top-left corner. From the list of app, choose the Sticky Widgets option. You can now preview the three different sizes of the widget (small, medium, and large).
