To put a blank page into your Word document, place the cursor where you want the new page to begin and then click Insert > Blank Page. The blank page opens, ready for whatever you want to add. Another option when you need a little space is to insert a page break.

One may simply put the page number at the top-center of the page, while others may list the addressee at the top-left, the page number at the top-center and the date on the top-right. Others may list the addressee, the date underneath, and page number underneath the date in the top-left corner of the page.

Double-click anywhere on the header or footer to unlock it. Click the Page Number command. Page numbering will appear. To edit the font, font size, and alignment of page numbers, select a page number and click the Home tab. When you're finished, press the Esc key.
