Resizing and Repositioning Select, hold, and drag the adjustment handles to change the size of your watermark. (The top, center handle tilts the watermark to the left and right.) To reposition your watermark, hover your cursor over the watermark until the cursor becomes two crossed arrows (see figure 12).

Select File, choose a picture, and then select the Insert button. Move the Transparency slider in the Format Shape pane to adjust the picture. Or you may enter a number in the box next to the slider: 0 is fully opaque, the default setting; and 100% is fully transparent.

Keeping your watermark in the corner with the opacity set to around 50% or less is a good idea. The most important thing to notice is that it looks professional. Watermarks distract when they're too bold, but also when they look shabby and as if they were made using Microsoft Paint.

Adjust the placement of a watermark on the page Double-click near the top of the page to open the header. Click the watermark to select it. (Try moving the cursor over the watermark until the cursor displays a four-headed arrow.) Drag the watermark where you want it on the page.

Watermarks are just objects anchored to the header. Double-click the header to activate the header/footer area, and then you will be able to select the watermark and change its properties, including resizing it. Was this reply helpful?

At ?Format Shape? window under ?Fill? choose ?Picture or texture fill.? Choose ?Insert from:? -> ?File? and insert picture. The picture will leave a small area of equal white space around picture. You can then select Textbox and remove the borders. Was this reply helpful?

Insert a watermark On the Design tab, select Watermark. Choose a pre-configured watermark, like DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL, or DO NOT COPY. For placing a logo or image, Select Watermark > Custom Watermark > Picture watermark > Select Picture. On the same menu you can create a custom text watermark.
