Rename Sheets Using the Format Option in the Ribbon Click the Home tab. In the Cell group, click on the 'Format' option. Click on the Rename Sheet option. This will get the sheet name into edit mode. Enter the name that you want for the sheet.

On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Header & Footer. Excel displays the worksheet in Page Layout view. To add or edit a header or footer, click the left, center, or right header or footer text box at the top or the bottom of the worksheet page (under Header, or above Footer). Type the new header or footer text.

To add a header title, click the ?Insert? tab at the top left of the workbook. Click the ?Text? menu toward at the right side of the ribbon and click the ?Header & Footer? option. You'll be zoomed out from the workbook, allowing you to see all of your data on one page.

To freeze the top row or first column: From the View tab, Windows Group, click the Freeze Panes drop down arrow. Select either Freeze Top Row or Freeze First Column. Excel inserts a thin line to show you where the frozen pane begins.

Find the file you want to rename, select it and select Rename on the ribbon (or press F2 on your keyboard). Type the new name you want the file to have and press Enter.
