Diagram Title Contract For Free

The title of the horizontal bar graph tells about the data being represented by the graph. The vertical axis represents the data categories. Here, the data categories are the colors. The horizontal axis represents the values corresponding to each data value.

APA does not require a title within the chart itself. BUT all figures need be numbered and have a title in a caption below the chart. The text in a figure should be in a san serif font (such as Helvetica, Arial, or Futura). The font size must be between eight and fourteen point.

The title should concisely tell the reader what is in the graph. Avoid the obvious use of ?vs.? or ?versus? or the word ?plotted? in the title. Graphs that will appear as a figure in a publication or in a formal laboratory report will not have a title (the information is given in the figure caption).

Graph Title: The title appears at the top of the graph and should describe the graph. Axis Labels: The labels that appear along the x and y-axes describing what is being measured.

On the Layout tab, in the Labels group, click Data Labels, and then click the option that you want. For additional data label options, click More Data Label Options, click Label Options if it's not selected, and then select the options that you want.

Right-click on a graph title, and from the shortcut menu select Title Properties, or right-click on graph text and select Text Properties to display the Titles/Text dialog box. These options are for formatting, deleting, and adding graph titles/text.

To format data labels, select your chart, and then in the Chart Design tab, click Add Chart Element > Data Labels > More Data Label Options. Click Label Options and under Label Contains, pick the options you want. To make data labels easier to read, you can move them inside the data points or even outside of the chart.
