Double click on an empty area of your diagram and choose the text option from the shape picker. Text size, font and color can be altered in the Text tab of the format panel. Double-click on the text to get enhanced text options in the Format panel.

To change the text box shape: Select the text box you want to change. The Format tab will appear. From the Format tab, click the Edit Shape command. Hover the mouse over Change Shape, then select the desired shape from the menu that appears. The text box will appear formatted as the shape.

Add text to an AutoShape On the Insert tab, in the Illustrations group, click Shapes, and then click the shape that you want. Drag to create the shape. The shape is automatically selected. On the Drawing Tools tab, in the Insert Shapes group, click Edit Text. Type the text that you want.

Right-click on the image, then select Draw and Annotate. Click on Text Box, then click on the area of the image where you want to add a comment. Type your comment in the box. You can also add shapes like arrows to further clarify your notes.

Style part of a text label Double click on a shape to select the label text, then drag a selection around just the text inside the label you want to style. Use the style options to. change the font and size; bold italicise, underline or strikethrough text. change the text justification.

Graph annotations are similar to any other type of annotation....How do you annotate a graph? Arrows to point out specific data points. Boxes to point out specific sections of the graph. Text boxes to explain what that data means.

Go to app.diagrams.net. Click Arrange > Insert > Advanced > From Text. From the drop down selector next to the Close button, select Diagram. Select all of the sample text in the dialog and paste in your own text.
