From my own experience, I've found the following tips very helpful when it comes to naming images: Write all file names in lowercase letters.Only use letters, numbers, and underscores.Don't use blank spaces when you name a file.Always include your own name in the file.Use descriptive words to explain the image.

If you can, use a soft lead pencil to write information?including who's in a photo, the date it was taken, the occasion, and where it was taken?on the back of a photograph (where the information will never become separated from the image). Soft lead is important because hard lead pencils will leave an indentation.
