An indicia is an imprinted designation on mail that denotes postage payment, permit number and mailing classification. It usually looks something like this and is printed directly on the mail piece: PRSRT STD. U.S. Postage. PAID.

You can print the permit imprint indicia onto a label and apply that to your mailpiece.

The actual size of the indicia must be a minimum of one-half inch high by one-half inch wide. It must be placed no more than 1.5 inches below, or to the left of, the upper right hand corner of your postcard.
