Delete Words Documents in Google Drive For Free

If this is an ordinary page in a document you created in Docs, simply drag your cursor through the extra page and into the bottom of the page before it and press Backspace/Enter. If this is a document that was converted from a Microsoft Word file, it might contain a section break that can't be removed in Docs.

Why is Google Docs Not Deleting? Most often, it could be because the files you deleted contained shared collaboration folders, which could allow the contents to return after deletion. Additionally, even if you manually delete a folder, the files inside can still be in Google Drive.

If the Remove option is grayed out, it means you haven't moved them into Drive and they are only in the "Shared with me" folder. In other words, another user has the document in their Google Drive and you are simply sharing that file. The file is not yours to delete.
