Make sure Track Changes is disabled or you won't be able to remove section breaks. Select the Review tab and click Track Changes to expand the dropdown. Then, click Track Changes in the dropdown to disable the feature.

If you have difficulty deleting a section break, click the View tab in the Ribbon and select Draft in the Views group. Select the break by dragging over it and then press Delete. Return to Print Layout View by clicking the View tab again and clicking Print Layout in the Views group.

Remove a manual page break Go to Home and select Show/Hide . This displays page breaks while you're working on your document. Double-click the page break to select it and then press Delete.

You cannot delete manual page breaks when Track Changes is turned on. To turn off Track Changes: Go to the Review tab in the Ribbon. Click Track Changes > Track Changes in the Tracking group.

Delete a page in Word Click or tap anywhere in the page you want to delete, press Ctrl+G. In the Enter page number box, type \page. Press Enter on your keyboard, and then select Close. Verify that a page of content is selected, and then press Delete on your keyboard.

If your empty page occurs at the end of your document and you have a section break there, you can place your cursor directly before the section break and press Delete to delete it. That should remove the blank page.

Remove a page break from a Word document On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click Show/Hide to show all formatting marks including page breaks. Double-click the page break to select it, then press Delete. Click Show/Hide again to hide the remaining formatting marks in the document.
