What are smart fields? A smart field is a text placeholder you can use in your email and form templates that will autofill once added to a project. Dubsado smart fields can be identified by their double curly braces: {{client.name}} The example above will autofill with the client's full name.

Smart fields are data dictionary items with one or more business functions attached. Smart fields enable you to include complex, reusable calculations in detail sections of a report.Each smart field template is associated with a particular business view.

How to Use the Code Block. Adding a code block to your forms is super simple! In the list of options for different blocks, the code block is at the bottom right side of the menu. All you have to do is drag and drop it into your form, and then copy and paste your code into it.

You can now add an HTML code block to questionnaires, lead capture, and proposals. This will allow you to insert custom code to that block, embedded videos and other code, etc... The possibilities are endless. Code to your hearts content.
