An invisible digital signature, such as a visible digital signature line, assures the authenticity, integrity, and origin of a document. You can add invisible digital signatures to Word documents, Excel workbooks, and PowerPoint presentations.

Create your own digital signature If you do not want to purchase a digital certificate from a third-party certificate authority, or if you want to digitally sign your document immediately, you can create your own digital certificate by selecting the Create your own digital ID option in the Get a Digital ID dialog box.

Sign a piece of paper. Scan the paper. Crop down to the best signature. Use the magic wand to select the area around the signature. Paste the signature into a new document with a transparent background. Save the image in a format that supports transparent backgrounds.

To remove your signature, right-click the signature and then choose Clear Signature. If you got a signed PDF, you can request the signer to remove the signature and share the PDF or send an unsigned copy of the PDF.

On the Prepare Form ribbon over the top of the document, click the icon for Add a digital signature field. Your mouse will turn into a light blue box for you to Left mouse click > Drag a box > Release. (This is where you want the digital signature in your file).
