Essentially a copyright claim is someone asserting that you have used their content, whether that be a video clip, an image, or a piece of audio. A copyright strike is much more serious for a YouTube creator and your channel can be suspended for repeated copyright offenses.

If you agree with a claim: Do nothing: If you believe a claim is valid, you can leave it as is. You can also change your mind later. Remove the claimed content: If you believe a claim is valid, you can remove the claimed content without having to upload a new video.

Since the copyright claim is completely false, 100% not true, and you can prove it, go ahead and dispute the claim explaining that the claim was made in error (more info on how to dispute a claim here). It should be removed from your video. Let's assume you used somebody else's song or music in your video.

Yes it can affect your Youtube channel but it doesn't stop YouTube search and Google search from finding your videos, especially if people are actively looking for your content. I do a bunch of reaction videos that do get views from people searching for a particular type of reaction video or reactions to certain songs.
