Transcripts are generated by the education board of conduct, which can be received from the academic institute from where you have pursued your education. These may either be procured by visiting the institution physically or by contacting the authorities and request them to send them via post.

Some colleges accept transcripts which are sent electronically, but you'll need to ask your counselor if your high school has this option. Some high schools don't make their transcripts available to online services until after the student has graduated.

Official paper transcripts are sent in a sealed, signature-stamped envelope. An electronic transcript is considered OFFICIAL if the intended party is the direct email recipient. If emailed to the requestor, then forwarded, it is then considered UNOFFICIAL.

Admitted freshman students will need to submit their final official transcript and test scores as soon as possible upon graduation from high school and no later than July 1.

To be ready for submission to the US universities, the transcripts must be in English language and should carry the official stamp/seal of the issuing college or university. Students should approach the registrar's office of their college/university to request transcripts.

The most efficient and preferred way of submitting transcripts is through the Common Application, the Coalition Application, or e-transcript vendors. Transcripts may also be sent directly from the issuing institution to transcripts@umich.edu. File size of attachments cannot exceed 10 MB.
