It takes at least three weeks to process a claim and issue payment to most eligible workers. With the large amount of claims we are processing, there may be delays. We appreciate your patience.

Call 1-866-333-4606 to use EDD Tele-Cert. You must certify for benefits every two weeks. This option is recommended. California Relay Service (711): Provide the UI number 1-800-300-5616 to the operator.

Submit Your Documents Recommended: Log in to your UI Online account and go to the Upload Income Documents for PUA section on the homepage to provide the required documents. If you prefer to mail your documents, write your 10-digit EDD Customer Account Number (EDDCAN) clearly at the top of each page.

Certify with EDD Tele-Cert SMCall the UI Automated Self-Service Line at 1-866-333-4606.Select Menu Option 1.Enter your four-digit PIN. If you do not have one, the system will tell you how to create one.Answer all certification questions and confirm your answers.

Note: If you submitted your certification by mail and/or requested your benefit payments by check, allow 10 days for processing. If it has been more than 10 days since you submitted your certifications, Contact UI.

Call Us. Call 1-866-333-4606 and select Menu Option 1 to get information on your most recent payment. Payment information is updated daily at 6 a.m. (Pacific time). If you submit your certification by phone, your payment will generally be deposited on to your EDD Debit CardSM within 24 hours.

By certifying for unemployment benefits, you are declaring by law that you meet the eligibility requirements to collect benefits. As a result, you will receive a benefit payment after you complete your certification. If you do not receive a payment within 10 days of certifying, there may be an issue with your claim.
