Categorize Watermark Paper For Free

A watermark is a subtle image permanently impressed into paper during the manufacturing process. It identifies the source of the sheet and may contain, for instance, the paper mill's trademark or the brand name of the paper.

Watermarks are designs put into paper while the material is being made. Paper is made from pulp, which is manipulated to create a design. When the paper dries, the watermark often is barely visible to the naked eye but shows up when the paper is help up to the light, placed over a black surface or submerged in water.

Watermarking is a feature that allows you to print a digital signature or custom text on every page. Watermarks can be printed in the top or bottom margins of the page, or repeated across the entire page.

Click Page Layout > Watermark > Custom Watermark. Un-tick the Semitransparent box, as shown in the screen shot in Figure 2. Figure 2: Word 2007 and Word 2010: To ensure that your watermark prints on all printers, un-tick the quot;Semitransparent" box.

Why are Watermarks Important? Typically, watermarks are used to protect content and to claim ownership of an asset. Without watermarks, valuable digital assets can be susceptible to content theft or unauthorized use.

A watermark is made by impressing a dandy rolla light roller covered by a water-coated material embossed with a patternonto the paper during manufacturing. To view a watermark, hold the paper to the light. It will be lightly visible as a delicate pattern of density variations in the paper.

Click the Page Layout tab, choose the desired watermark from the Watermark list, then click Settings. Specify the necessary settings for the watermark. You can change the position and size of the watermark by dragging the image within the preview window at the left of the dialog box.
