Page Breaks are most often used before the start of a new chapter (such as before the text of Chapter 2 begins). Page Breaks also continue the same formatting and are within the same section of the document.

Insert a page breakClick the worksheet that you want to print.On the View tab, in the Workbook Views group, click Page Break Preview. You can also click Page Break Preview.Do one of the following:On the Page Layout tab, in the Page Setup group, click Breaks.Click Insert Page Break.

On the Insert tab, click the Page Break command. Alternatively, you can press Ctrl+Enter on your keyboard. The page break will be inserted into the document, and the text will move to the next page.

Page breaks allow you to move text to the next page before reaching the end of a page. You might use a page break if you're writing a paper that has a title page or a bibliography to ensure it starts on a new page. In our example, our chart is split between two pages.

Insert a page break when you want to move to the beginning of the next page in your document. Many users, unaware of the page break feature, will simply mash the Enter key when they want to start a new page. That works too until you want to edit your document later.

Go to Layout > Breaks > Page.Click or tap in the document where you want a page break.Go to Insert > Page Break.
