Brand Link Resolution For Free

I use my Quest 2 almost 100% for PC Link via the Link Cable. I have my graphics preferences set to 120hz and 1.5x in the rendering resolution which equates to 4128x2096.

Encode Resolution Width The default setting is "0 (automatic)" & Oculus program will set an another value automatically when Link is started. The auto value depends on PC spec & Wired Link or Air Link. If you're using good PC, the value will be 3680 for Wired Link & 2880 for Air Link.

Encode Resolution Width: Oculus Link works by sending a compressed video stream across the USB connection. This setting decides the resolution of this video stream. Pixels Per Display will always be set back to 1.0 when you restart your PC, however, Distortion Curve and Encode Width will persist.

Encode Bitrate You can manually set that bitrate with the Oculus Debug Tool (ODT). That's found in the oculus-diagnostics subfolder in the Support folder of your Oculus software directory. By default this should be C:\\Program Files\\Oculus\\Support\\oculus-diagnostics.

Now you can manually increase the image resolution using Oculus Link that can provide a clearer picture on the Oculus Quest. Note: this feature is for advanced users. However, there should be no risk to your Quest, or performance, because you can just set any changes to default if something goes wrong.

The default output resolution of Oculus Link is lower than when using a Rift S, which gives the image a less sharp, softer appearance.
