Generally, most assignments can be redone. You are encouraged to work on an assignment until you have a score that is satisfactory to both you and your teacher.If an assignment does not meet these standards they should be redone until you have learned to complete them satisfactorily.

To edit an existing file you have recently uploaded:Locate the relevant Assignment Summary page within your unit.Select the relevant file from the File Submission box.From the pop up that appears, you may choose to edit the relevant file information as needed.To save your changes, select the purple Update button.

Click on the Submission Date of the Submission you wish to edit. You will now see an Edit icon to the right of every editable field. Click Edit to make your changes. When you're done, click the checkmark to save.

The Canvas Post Canvas now allows students to add annotations to PDFs used in an assignment right from within the Canvas mobile app. This feature allows students to create annotations in files, such as in-class worksheets, before submitting an assignment.

Make sure your assignment submission is set to File Upload. Save your assignment, then instruct students to access the assignment using the Canvas App. When they click on the PDF in the Canvas app, they will be able to annotate over the PDF to complete the assignment.

IN CANVAS, AN ASSIGNMENT IS A PIECE OF STUDENT WORK YOU INTEND TO GRADE.BY DEFAULT, CANVAS SELECTS ONLINE SUBMISSION, MEANING IT WILL EXPECT STUDENTS TO UPLOADA FILE OR LINK TO CANVAS. To change the submission type on an assignment, go to the Assignments tab and click the name of the assignment you want to edit.
