Assignment Delete Comments For Free

If you'd really like the comment to be deleted, you can contact your Instructor and your Instructor has the ability to delete comments.

The option to delete assignment submissions is only available to admins that have been granted the Users - Act As permission. Only file upload assignment submissions can be deleted by an admin.

You can decide how students can post and comment in Classroom. You can set permissions by class or by student. If you allow posting or commenting, students can't edit their posts or comments, but they can delete them. Teachers can delete any post or comment.

Select the edit icon or double click the mark to open up the comment box. Edit the comment and select Save to save any changes made to the comment. To move a comment, select and hold on the mark symbol and drag the icon to a new location. To delete a comment select the trash can icon.

If the comment isn't anonymous then you should be able to delete it when you're logged in since it looks for comments where you're the author (based on your successful login). Remember, the delete functionality is built in to Canvas but not visible.

Canvas does not allow you to delete student submissions for assignments (e.g., file uploads, student annotations) nor allows you to give a specific student extra attempt(s).
