Page breaks will exist on every page of any multi-page document, and they are essential to creating a relationship between pages, allowing consistent formatting from page to page. In other words, whatever adjustments you make on one pageorientation, margins, columns, footerswill be applied to all pages.

A page break is a marker in an electronic document that tells the document interpreter that the content which follows is part of a new page. A page break causes a form feed to be sent to the printer during spooling of the document to the printer. Thus it is one of the elements that contributes to pagination.

Use page breaks to control where a page ends and where a new page begins. Insert a page break. Place the cursor where you want to start a new page.

Insert a page breakOpen the report in Design view.On the Design tab, in the Controls group, click Insert Page Break.Click the location where you want to place the page break control. Access indicates the page break with a short line on the left edge of the report.

Click the worksheet that you want to modify. On the View tab, in the Workbook Views group, click Page Break Preview.To move a page break, drag the page break to a new location. Note: Moving an automatic page break changes it to a manual page break.

Insert a horizontal or vertical manual page break Select the row that is underneath the row where you want the page to break. Select the column that is to the right of the column where you want the page to break. On the Layout tab, under Page Setup, click Breaks, and then click Insert Page Break.
