To select all records in a table, open the Edit menu and choose Select All Records. Alternatively, press Ctrl+A.

You can also select all of the fields at once by clicking the >> button. If you have related tables or queries, you can select fields from more than one source, using the drop-down menu labeled Tables/Queries to go back and forth between different objects.

If you click in the bar next to a record, it highlights the whole record. If you click in a control or column within the record, the whole record is highlighted. If you click in a column, though the whole record is highlighted but the control with focus is a different appearance.

Click the Report Design Tools Format tab in the Ribbon. Click Conditional Formatting in the Control Formatting group. In the dialog box that appears, click New Rule. Click Check values in the current record or use an expression or click Compare to other records.
