The Radio Equipment Regulations were originally created to transpose the European Radio Equipment Directive (RED) into UK Law. With the UK's departure from the EU they became the independent safety and performance requirements for all wireless communications and radio equipment sold or used in the UK.

What does the UKCA mark mean? The UK Conformity Assessed mark is a mandatory mark on a product to indicate that it conforms to GB legislation.

UK Declaration of Conformity declare that the product is in conformity with the relevant regulatory requirements. make sure the document has the name and address of the manufacturer (or your authorised representative) together with information about the product and the conformity assessment body (where relevant)
