Add Payment Certificate For Free

The payment processing certificate is used to encrypt the Apple Pay token. The payment processing certificate is valid for 25 months from activation. If you do not replace the CSR and activate the new certificate prior to the expiration date, all Apple Pay transactions will fail.

To create a Merchant ID, follow these steps:Log on to your Apple Developer account.Select Certificates, IDs & Profiles.Select Identifiers.Add a new Merchant ID by selecting the + sign in the top right of the screen.Enter an ID and description, and select Continue.Select Register to confirm the data entered.

A certificate associated with your merchant ID, used to secure transaction data. Apple Pay servers use the certificate's public key to encrypt payment data. You can view expiration dates and update your certificates on the Apple developer website by following these steps:Sign in to your account you need to be an Account Holder or Admin.Open the Certificates, Identifiers, and Profiles page.Under Identifiers, select Merchant IDs.Select your domain's ID and select Edit.
