The country who are veterans or current members of the United States Armed Forces. The purpose of the association is to keep alive the history and heritage of Black women who served our nation with courage and valor in the military services of our country. It was first established in Hampton, Virginia in 1976 by a group of women who had served in the Women's Auxiliary Corp. (WAAC) and Women Army Corp. (WAC) during World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War. At this charter meeting it was decided.
