Once you pass a section of the examination, you are allowed a maximum of 18 months to pass all remaining sections in order to retain credit for the passed section. If you do not pass all four sections within that 18-month period, you will lose credit for the first section of the exam passed.

The National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) is a nonprofit group that serves the 55 state and U.S. territory boards of accountancy, which are responsible for overseeing the accountancy profession in the United States and administering the Uniform CPA Examination.

You should receive your Notice to Schedule (NTS) within four business days of paying your Exam fee. You will not be able to schedule an Exam appointment or take the Exam without a valid NTS.

How long is the evaluation process? The NIES team is currently able to complete evaluations in a 6 week time frame. This begins once we receive all appropriate documents needed for the international evaluation.

The AICPA is responsible for setting and scoring the examination, and transmitting scores to NASBA. NASBA maintains the National Candidate Database and matches score data received from the AICPA with candidate details. Most states offer online score reporting on NASBA's website at .nasba.org.
