The University of Michigan Law School (Michigan Law) is the law school of the University of Michigan, a public research university in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Access to the Law Library for non-law UCLA/UC students is limited to a small number of users per day, controlled by a reservation system.

Access to the Legal Research building is sometimes restricted to members of the Michigan Law Community via MCard.

Books on the law formed a major part of the holdings of the Library of Congress from its beginning. In 1832, Congress established the Law Library of Congress as a separate department of the Library. It houses one of the most complete collections of U.S. Congressional documents in their original format.

At this time, access to the NYU Law Library is available only for NYU law students, faculty and staff with a valid NYU ID (subject to the exceptions listed below). Sponsored guests to NYU Law buildings and facilities are not guaranteed access to the NYU Law Library.

Most library facilities are open to the general public during regular hours. Any library open after midnight is accessible to only U-M students, faculty, and staff with valid Mcards.
