  13. On line 11, report any other credits as instructed.
  14. For line 12, subtract line 11 from line 10.
  15. Determine the nonrefundable portion of the credit on line 13 according to the instructions.
  16. Complete line 14 by subtracting line 13 from line 7, following the instructions provided.
  17. Multiply the result from line 14 by 50% and record it on line 15.
  18. If applicable, report any unused credit from the 2020 carryover on line 16.
  19. On line 17, document the refundable portion of the credit as directed.
  20. Lastly, subtract line 15 from line 14 to find the amount of credit to carry forward to the next year on line 18.
