The role of a front of house manager is to supervise and co-ordinate the entire front of house team. He ensures the client receives a warm welcome and that service runs smoothly. He may also be involved in recruiting his team and carrying out administrative tasks.

What is "Front of House"? The "Front of House", often abbreviated FOH, refers to everything your customers can see when they dine at your restaurant. This includes the hostess booth, the dining room, and all the employees and equipment required to keep this portion of your restaurant running efficiently.

The front of the house (FOH) is the customer-facing portion of a restaurant. The front of the house includes the host/hostess, waitstaff, and bartenders. FOH staff are responsible for greeting guests, taking food and drink orders, and ensuring that guests have a positive dining experience.
