How do I purchase a dog license? The regular dog licensing period is December 1, 2022 through January 31, 2023. The regular annual dog license fee continues to be $19. If you fail to renew by the January 31, 2023 deadline, you can still purchase a dog license but an additional penalty of $19 will be added to the cost.

By law (ORC 955.01), all dogs in the State of Ohio who are three months or older must be licensed by January 31st of each year, or within 30 days of bringing a new dog into your family.
