The California Promise Grant, formerly Board of Governors Fee Waiver (BOGW), waives the enrollment fees and tuition for eligible California residents attending California Community College. The CCPG Fee Waiver will waive your per-unit enrollment fee for the entire academic year if you apply and qualify.

The Board of Governor's (BOG) Fee Waiver is a California state program. The $46 per unit cost of tuition at a California Community College is waived for students who meet the eligibility guidelines.

Three types of CA College Promise Grant fee waivers Income standards are provided by the state Chancellor's Office.

Pell Grants are federal grants and Cal Grants are state grants. Both are for students with financial need. Some Cal Grants have a minimum GPA requirement while federal Pell Grants do not.
