Pesticide licensing, rules, regulation, and enforcement are the responsibility of the Arkansas Department of Agriculture Plant Industries Division, Pesticide Section. An individual is not eligible to purchase or apply restricted use pesticides until a license is issued.

Agricultural Applicators. The Texas Pesticide Law requires that you must be licensed or certified by TDA in order to lawfully use a restricted-use pesticide, state-limited-use pesticide or regulated herbicides.

How do I renew my Arkansas pesticide applicator's license? Once you have obtained your certification and license you must attend a pesticide safety training class at least once every three years in order to maintain your certification. These classes are known as Recertification Training.

20-20-213. (a) It shall be unlawful for any person to act in the capacity of a restricted-use pesticides dealer, or advertise as, assume to act as a dealer of, or distribute any restricted-use pesticide at any time without first having obtained an annual license from the State Plant Board.
