Will Chime refund a dispute? Things to keep in mind when filing a dispute: The merchant can often cancel or reverse the transaction. Once the merchant has agreed to issue credit, it takes 3-5 business days for the credit to post to your Chime Checking Account.

This process can take up to 90 calendar days from the filing date. While chargebacks are often resolved sooner, we must wait for the merchant (and sometimes the card network) to respond before resolving the dispute. In the meantime, you can check the status of your dispute in the Chime app.

When you dispute a charge, Chime may file a chargeback with the merchant asking them to return the disputed transaction amount back to you. During this process, we also collect additional documentation from the merchant to help resolve the dispute.

You can check on the status of your dispute by following these steps: Login to your Chime mobile app. On the home screen, tap “Disputes.” Find your dispute ticket by choosing between the “Open” and “Closed” tabs. Tap “View Details.” Tap “>” beside the charge to see an accurate timeline view of the disputed transaction.
