In the Organize sidebar, click the Sort tab. Click the pop-up menu in the sidebar and choose Sort Entire Table or Sort Selected Rows. Click Add a Column. Choose a column to sort by, then click the pop-up menu in the rule and choose Ascending or Descending.

Move rows: After selecting the rows, click and hold one of the selected row numbers until the rows appear to rise off the table, then drag them above or below another row.

Sort items: In any view, choose View > Show View Options, click the Sort By pop-up menu, then choose the sort order, such as Date Modified or Name. In List view, move the pointer over the column name you want to sort by, then click it.

In Excel, there are two ways to sort numbers. First, select the data and click the Sort option from the Data menu tab(Sort By Number in Excel). Choose the column whose value we want to sort, then choose Sort on Value from the drop-down. Now we can Sort the number by Largest to Smallest and vice-versa.

Select a column, then click the down arrow on its border. Do any of the following: Sort the data in alphabetical order (A to Z) or by increasing numerical values: Choose Sort Ascending. In columns containing both text and numbers, ascending order sorts by numbers before text—for example, 1a, 1b, 2a, a1, b1.
