You will not automatically receive a copy of your baby's birth certificate. Once the birth is registered, you can request a certified copy of the birth certificate from the Local Health Department or County Recorder in the county where your child was born, or from California Department of Public Health Vital Records.

You may order copies of Hennepin County Vital Records through VitalChek on an expedited basis. For same day processing, you must call Hennepin County Vital Records directly at 612-348-8240 before 2:00 pm (CST). A $20.00 expedite fee will be applied.

To get a copy of your birth certificate from Texas Department of State Health Services - Vital Statistics Section, you must have been born in the state of Texas. You need to submit identification that meets our ID requirements; complete an application online, by mail, or in-person; and pay the appropriate fee.

Same day: In person at the Texas Vital Statistics Office in Austin Closed due to COVID-19. By visiting the Vitals office in Austin, you can receive birth certificates within a couple of hours.
