Follow the steps to successfully complete the foldable
- Click ‘Get Form’ button to obtain the foldable and open it in the editor.
- Begin by coloring the four layers of the Earth according to the guide provided. Use the following colors: Inner Core - red, Outer Core - red-orange, Lower Mantle - orange, Middle Mantle - light orange, Upper Mantle - yellow, Oceanic Crust - dark brown, Continental Crust - light brown, Ocean - blue.
- Fill out the small squares for each main layer of the Earth using information from your textbook or the Earth's Layers Booklet.
- Carefully cut out the layers, including the four squares and the twelve labels. Don't forget to include The Earth's Layers title.
- Take a sheet of blue paper and trim the title closely. Paste The Earth's Layers title in the top left corner.
- Paste the Crust right below the title, ensuring it is centered on the page.
- Place a second piece of paper closely underneath the first and paste the Mantle on this second piece.
- Align the edges of the two sheets of blue paper and fold the bottom section of both papers up about 1/4 inch below the bottom of the Mantle.
- Secure the fold with two staples placed very close to the edge.
- Paste the Outer Core on the next flap down from the Mantle.
- Paste the Inner Core on the bottom flap and ensure to place the Inner Core Information Square to the left of the Inner Core.
- Insert the remaining three squares inside the flaps, next to their corresponding layers.
- Trim any visible blue flaps to ensure a neat appearance.
- Using a black pen or marker, draw the cut-off part of the Lithospheric bracket.
- Make two holes and write your name to complete the project. Once done, celebrate your achievement!
