Kansas State High School Activities Association Rule 52. The Kansas State High School Activities Association, through its member schools, defines sportsmanship as those qualities of behavior which are characterized by generosity and genuine concern for others.

A freshman student is eligible under the transfer rule at any senior high school he/she may choose to attend when he/she enters senior high school for the first time at the beginning of their freshman year. In other words, students get one free pass.

1: Any student who reaches nineteen on or before August 1, shall be ineligible for interscholastic activities. Any student who reaches nineteen after August 1, shall be eligible for the remainder of that school year.

A Rule 10 Form A application is required prior to the first practice for any non-certified teacher. If they have not completed the course at the time of application, indicate when they plan to enroll in the course and the estimated completion date on the Rule 10 application. KSHSAA Transfer Rule 18-1-1 requires processing a Certificate of Transfer for all transfer students. Use this Form T-E (Transfer-Eligibility) for those students who, along with their parents, make a bona fide move to a new permanent residence in the vicinity of your school.

These “Rule 10” coaches, a title based off of the Kansas State High School Activity Association (KSHSAA) rule book, are, officially, “anyone who is certified in compliance with standards established by the Kansas State Board of Education” who are “eligible to coach in any activity under the jurisdiction of the KSHSAA.” ...
