The objectives of The Pony Club are: to encourage young people to ride and to learn to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with horses and riding. to give instruction in riding and horsemastership and to educate Members to look after and to take proper care of their animal.

If the C-3 riding test is passed before the H-B, the member becomes a C+. The minimum age for the C-3 certification is 13 years old. The B Certification requires further knowledge and proficiency in riding. The B is able to ride experienced mounts, both their. own and others, with confidence and control.

A Branch of The Pony Club C C test is taken aged 12 yr and over, C+ test is taken aged 14 yrs and over, usually with a 2 year gap between each test. There is no advantage to taking the test early or before the member is confident at that level.
