CDC does not require travelers to undergo a mandatory federal quarantine. However, CDC recommends that unvaccinated travelers self-quarantine after travel for 7 days with a negative test and for 10 days if they don't get tested.

There are no travel restrictions within Illinois. However, non-essential travel to the areas of high incidence is discouraged.

People who have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19excluding people who have had COVID-19 within the past 3 months.

Anyone who has had close contact with someone with COVID-19 should stay home for 14 days after their last exposure to that person. The best way to protect yourself and others is to stay home for 14 days if you think you've been exposed to someone who has COVID-19.

Test results will be available typically within 3 business days. Business days are Monday through Friday. If you were tested on a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, your results may not be posted until the following week. Holidays are not considered business days.

Travel may increase your chance of spreading and getting COVID-19 due to exposure at airports, on public transit, or in hotels. CDC continues to recommend postponing travel and staying home, as this is currently the best way to protect yourself and others.

At this time, there are no plans to change Vermont's existing policy, which calls for a 14-day quarantine, or gives the option to get a PCR test on day 7 or later to end quarantine early with a negative test, as long as the person continues to have no symptoms.
