The Employee Polygraph Protection Act of 1988 (EPPA) is a United States federal law that generally prevents employers from using polygraph (lie detector) tests, either for pre-employment screening or during the course of employment, with certain exemptions.

Employers generally may not require or request any employee or job applicant to take a lie detector test, or discharge, discipline, or discriminate against an employee or job applicant for refusing to take a test or for exercising other rights under the Act.

The OSHA Job Safety and Health: It's the Law poster, available for free from OSHA, informs workers of their rights under the Occupational Safety and Health Act. All covered employers are required to display the poster in their workplace. Employers do not need to replace previous versions of the poster.

The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires employers to post a notice about job safety and health protection. This is the OSHA Job Safety and Health: It's the Law poster, which advises employees of their rights.

Only one OSHA poster, "Job Safety And Health - It's The Law", is mandatory to display for all companies nationwide. Other posters published by OSHA are optional or mandatory for only certain employers, and provide information on mitigating various workplace hazards and safety concerns.
