You can check the status of your claim online through the Claimant Self Service (CSS) portal at UI.NV.gov or call the Telephone Claim Centers during the week Monday through Friday am-pm by choosing option #3.

You must have lost your job through no fault of your own, such as due to a layoff or a plant closure. If you were fired, you are not automatically disqualified, but you will need to give the reason for your termination. You must be mentally and physically able to work a normal work week for your profession or industry.

The amount you can earn through part-time or temporary work while on unemployment depends on your state's policies. In many cases, you can still receive partial benefits, provided that your earnings don't exceed the amount that you are making in benefits.
